Rush Limbaugh Hospitalized With Chest Pains

Shock jock loudmouth Rush Limbaugh is hospitalized in serious condition in Honolulu this final Wednesday of 2009 after complaining of chest pains at a local resort.

Paramedics responded to a call for help at 2:41 PM at the Kahala Hotel and Resort, where the controversial conservative is vacationing, according to Hawaiian TV station KITV. Limbaugh was sitting in a chair in his ninth-floor hotel room when emergency crews arrived, sources say. He told medical crews that he was taking medication for a back problem.

Limbaugh, 58, who has more than 20 million listeners, was taken to Queen’s Medical Center. He is in serious condition. In 2003, Limbaugh underwent treatment for an addiction to prescription painkillers, including Lorcet, Norco and hydrocodone.
