Larry Platt's "Pants On the Ground" Continues To Outshine American Idol Contestants

It might be an indication of how relatively uninspiring this year's American Idol auditions have been so far that the performance from the show capturing the most attention is 62 year old General Larry Platt singing his diatribe against youth fashion titled "Pants On the Ground." It has become a true viral hit. He was invited to perform on the hit daytime show The View, and now word has come that independent label Jake Records is offering the General a record deal.

If you are faithfully watching this season's auditions so far, you might be a bit hard pressed to remember names of contestants that are headed to Hollywood. However, my bet is you won't soon forget Larry Platt. He might be one of the best arguments for bringing the show with no contestant age limit, X Factor, to America.
