The trial of the man accused of killing Wichita abortion provider George Tiller has resumed this morning.
The news going into the weekend was that the accused, Scott Roeder, had bought a gun and done some target practice in Topeka two weeks before Tiller was gunned down while ushering at a Wichita church.
Of course, Roder has left little doubt on who the shooter was on May 31. Roeder has confessed to killing Tiller, claiming he did it to save the lives of unborn babies.
KCTV 5 has a live feed from the trial. As of 10:09, Gary Hoepner, a witness to the shooting, was testifying.
The Wichita Eagle is proving to be the best source for trial information. The paper has dedicated a special section of its Web site to the coverage and reporter Ron Sylvester has provided up-to-the-minute Twitter updates. Here’s today’s Eagle coverage.
